woo hoo! welcome SITStas!

i can't believe my SITS day is finally here! first let me say ... I love checking out all of your blogs! and have found so many wonderful, inspiring, creative women to follow!  i really appreciate you stopping by :)

so who am i?? well, here are a few things about me:
these are mine. lucky me.
and if i could do this everyday, i'd be a happy girl.

ok, back to reality.

i am a mom of two extremely energetic boys.. i have a full-time completely stressful job, which i never write about! (this is about fun!!)
as a person who always "assumed" she would have girls... these little guys have really changed my world! with the arrival of my first born.. so began my passion for taking photos and documenting his little life. years later, i started blogging mainly as a place to gather scrapbooking ideas and inspiration... but i seem to now be obsessed with starting as many new projects as possible...and every time i find one i love,  i just add it to my ever-growing, project to-do list!

when i can squeeze blogging into my crazy life...  i like to write about anything from scrapping, to crafting, making mini albums, the craziness and sweetness of BOYS, friendship, stress... and any severe case of project envy i might be experiencing at that time!

action is probably my all-time favorite post...  i can actually go back in time when i read it... and it SOOO describes my life with boys. (and one of my scrapbooking "idols" actually commented on it :)
here's the little book of magic i made with the pictures from that day!

game changer is how the fabulous Stacy Julian... (see previous paragraph) completely changed my scrapbooking - and inevitably my life - she is the first blogger i ever read and the main reason i have joined this wonderful world of creative and inspiring women!  she also introduced me to this time-saving memory-keeping project.

an em-il-ie idea is an example of how i use blog-inspiration for scrapbooking....  and here are two of my favorite Ali Edwards projects - december daily and week in the life.

and in my world of blue and boys.. here is one of my favorite pink things!

thanks soo much for stopping by today - i love comments and followers..  as i know you do too!!
i have to admit.. sometimes the blog-world can be a bit intimidating.. there is so much possibilty and not nearly enough time in the day :) i am always so impressed with the energy and excitement so many of you have - and while i don't get to blog as often as i like, and many times don't always feel that creative... it is really just SO NICE to just be a part of it!

if you do become a follower today... make sure and leave a comment on this post.. so i can check out your blog too... all comments on this post will be entered in my secret, surprise giveaway - to be announced next week!!

thanks again SITStas!  i look forward to making some new friends.. and hope you all have a wonderful day!

Definitely congrats on your special day! Any mom who raises boys should be honored and recognized! I grew up with all brothers! When it was time for me to have children of my own I was actually WANTING boys because I was so use to them. I ended up with a girl and didn't know what to do with her.... LOL.

Congrats again! Enjoy your day!

Happy SITS day! I'm really starting to understand now when people told me how much fun boys are now that my son is 20 months old. I'm expecting a girl in the next few weeks which I've always wanted, but love the exuberance of my little man.

Scrapping is one craft I'm yet to try - maybe one day!

Hello Andrea,

Your blog is just lovely - the content and the design. Love your enchanting header and tagline (I'm a butterfly girl too).

Happy SITS Day to you! Smiles and best wishes, Carla. :)

Hello from Georgia (hi y'all). I was just browsing my Google Reader and the SITS post popped out - Patchwork Pages - love the title so of course I had to stop by, love your bright colorful blog. Your love for your sons is awesome, along with your creativity! Don't you wish we didn't have 'stressful jobs which we never write about' so we could do more blogging and photography and, well, just going outside and 'watching the colors of the day sink into the earth'? Have a great day!

Congrats on your SITS Day - i totally admire people who scrapbook - I still have a kit in shrinkwrap from when my son was born - he's 4 now... and I'm expecting his little brother...

I too always thought I'd have girls... and I do, we adopted my husband's niece when she was 3.5, now 12, but she's as tomboy as my little guy so no cute dress up here either...

great to meet you!

Happy SITS Day! I a newly full time working (single) mom who used to scrapbook... but hasn't had time in about two years... I was just blogging about reorganizing my closet because all my scraping stuff had piled up... I really want to get caught up...some day!

Love your scrapbooking! I feel it's so important to capture everyday moments (and big ones too) so we can treasure them later on in life. Your boys will really appreciate this (if they don't already)!

Happy Blogging and Scrapbooking!
Congrats on your SITS day!

I have a huge collection of digital scrap booking supplies but have yet to make a page...I use them for cards & blog things lol I have a 3 year old boy & a 4 month old girl. I grew up wanting a girl but in college I was a nanny for a family with twin boys. I worked for them from the time the boys were 13 months until they were almost 4. Because of them I knew boys would be just as much (if not more) fun as girls!!!
Happy SITS day!

My two boys are much older, 17 and 20. I wish that blogging was around when they were younger and I could have used a connection to other stay-at-home moms. I started scrapbooking when the oldest was 13 and spend a lot of time catching up. I also realized that I don't take nearly enough photos anymore! Happy SITS day.

Such a sweet blog! Happy SITS day! I can relate very well to you on the boy front. I believed I would have girls and here I am 6 months pregnant with boy #3 and I wouldn't change it for the world! They enrich life so much! I really like that you added some of your favorite past posts into your SITS post! I am now following you on Google =)

Happy SITS Day! Thank you for sharing your experience of Stacy Julian and scrapbooking "out of order"--I had stopped journaling because I felt compelled to do everything chronologically, and it was exhausting. Then I started visual journaling, making collages about whatever I was drawn to, and it was incredibly liberating, so it's cool to read Stacy's approach, and how you were inspired by it.

I totally agree with the wonderful craziness and intense sweetness that boys embody. I love mine truly, madly, deeply, and they are oh, so different than my girls!

Congratulations on a beautiful blog, and your SITS day in the SUN!

I just read your ACTION post. Can't wait to read more. I have a good friend that is a scrapbooker. I'll have to refer her over here. She is a boy's momma, too.

I'm a SITSista!
