I'm working on a scrapbook page about my 8 year old: the Collector.
He loves to collect things. It started when he was 3 with little superhero action figures.
Then as he got older... football cards, helmets, etc.
And his latest obsession... pens.
In 1st grade he became a collector of supplies... highlighters, dry-erase markers, erasers, paperclips.
Can I just say I have always loved this about him!
The way he puts everything in its place.
The child's room is never a mess.
But what I really love.. is I think this is definitely a trait he got from me :)
I collected rocks. Strawberry Shortcake dolls.
and now.. I collect photos and memories.
How cool.

My 7 year old grandson collects minerals - and Webkins! My granddaughter collects American Girl dolls - and animals.
I collect scrabook supplies. No, really I collect Fire King baking dishes, old Fiesta ware and Wilendur tablecloths. I don't get much of any of them because I don't have room, but those I buy I USE because I don't think of them as sacred objuects, but items to be used and enjoyed often.
