behind the pages. (and free stuff!)

ok - so its time to introduce you to another inspirational woman: Kelly Goree!

i discovered her work on scrapbook.com a few years ago. her pages are AMAZING and she is simply put - my favorite all-time scrapbooker! she has a great eye for color and layouts, and put patterns together better than i ever could. it also helps that she has 3 boys, so her pages really speak to me... and she works for Basic Grey which produces my absolute favorite paper combinations!

sounds great right?

then i found out she lives up the road from me.
then i found her on facebook.
then i realized we went to the same high school!

seriously its such a small world.

anyway - enough gushing. if you're not already familiar with her work - you will love it!
warning here: you may feel woefully inadequate as i do :)

however, her layout inspiration has made my scrapbooking life so much easier!
since i work full time, i simply do not have enough hours in the day to spend as much time as i would like on my hobby. so i have to make the most of every minute!

using her ideas for my pages makes my page process MUCH quicker!

here are some of my scraplifts:
her page:

my page:

yes i know mine is not nearly as good as hers.. but its not bad!
and i took her pencil idea and threw a protractor on this page. (i had not purchased a protractor in forever!!)

here's another page of Kelly's:

which inspired this:

get the picture? i have so many more.. i actually have a binder where i keep print-outs of the pages i want to do.. so i'm a bit of a scrap-stalker i guess.

she also makes great mini-albums, which i have to share:

jealous yet?

kelly is not only a talented, creative genius - she is also an incredibly sweet and fun-loving person who chronicles her work on her blog.. called "behind the pages".

in addition to basic grey products she swears by this white pen! so in honor of today's post - i am giving away a basic grey collection - your choice between the green at heart or june bug collection and a signo white uniball pen! (and some other scrap goodies thrown in)

to be eligible for the giveaway.. all you have to do is become a follower of patchwork pages... check out kelly's blog, and leave a comment on this post!

here is a link to kelly's scrapbook.com gallery.
and you can check out basic grey here.

I too love Kelly's layouts and being time restricted as well like to scrap lift her layouts. The problem I face is I can never decide on which layout and want to do them all!!!

Oh shut up!!! (in a nice way) I am such a Kelly Goree scrap stalker too.. Love everything she does. I so want to be like her when I grow up (even if I am already older then she is). She has such a style that transcends time and yet continues to evolve. Great minds and styles "scrap think" alike. Your layouts look great too.

I had never seen her blog before, but I checked it out. She really does have some wonderful work doesn't she? I have 2 books like you are talking about, one with scrapbooking things I like and want to try and one with cards that I like. I page through those notebooks often for inspriation.
Thanks for introducing me to her work! And for the opportunity to win some wonderful blog candy!
